Digital Marketing Manager

Role Purpose

The role of the Digital Marketing Manager is a broad marketing role but with an emphasis and primary focus on managing the day to day on-line marketing channels in conjunction with the Chief Commercial Officer.  The role holder will develop, implement and track our digital campaigns across all digital channels and lead integrated digital marketing campaigns from concept to execution.  The role holder will be the key person responsible for developing our online strategy and subsequent capabilities.  The role holder will have team management responsibility for the marketing team and will be expected to ensure work is prioritised to meet the business needs and that the team are engaged in the broader business strategy.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • To build a high performing marketing team that leads the digital activity for the group and also provides broad marketing support and creates high class output
  • Develop the digital strategy for the group and take responsibility for digital lead generation and where appropriate build online quote journey’s to support end to end digital acquisition
  • Generate efficient online demand for Broadstone services through paid digital activity
    • Creating evergreen and tactical campaigns across multiple platforms
    • Test and optimise creative and copy to maximise engagement
    • Manage bids to optimise for cost per lead
  • Maximise the visibility of Broadstone and 20-20 Trustees in organic search through SEO:
    • Manage and develop SEO Executive
    • Ensure that the technical setup of the site is in line with best practice
    • Aligning the website to the needs of potential clients through keyword research
    • Prioritising relevant content and working with the business to generate compelling content
    • Building high quality links through working with the Company’s PR agency
  • Optimise the conversion of online demand to quality leads through ongoing test and learn approach including both content types (e.g. webinars) and website functionality (e.g. Lead forensics, request call back)
  • Develop an approach to email marketing to both leads and existing clients using existing platform based on relevant messages with clear call-to-actions, with the objective of maximising conversion, up-sell/cross-sell and client retention
  • Oversee the development of our marketing automation capabilities, sourcing if appropriate new tools to replace the existing platform and allow for a better segmented and personalised approach to nurturing leads
  • Measure and report on marketing effectiveness across all channels with a focus on maximising ROI and new client acquisition
  • Where agreed with senior management, source and manage agencies required to support marketing activity
  • Work collaboratively with Business Development to ensure we have professional marketing collateral to support bids/tender processes and to drive profitable lead generation to the BD team

Experience

  • Similar role in a B2B environment, e.g. selling professional services/consultancy
  • Hands-on experience of demand generation in at least one digital channel (e.g. PPC)
  • Broad marketing experience covering marcoms, branding, PR, agency management
  • Experience in team management

 Technical Knowledge and Professional Qualifications

  • Proven experience in digital marketing
  • Demonstrable experience in building campaigns using marketing database, email software, social media etc.
  • Creative thinker
  • Sound knowledge of website analytic tools (e.g. Google Analytics)
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinker
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
  • Good planning and organisational skills- able to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Attention to detail when producing data, reports, or other analysis
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Full understanding of New Business Development/marketing function
  • Market/competitor knowledge
