Broadstone Mill has recently developed studio space for crafts people and designer makers. A choice of units is available whether you seek a workshop or retail space.
The space is ideal for graduates, new cultural industry businesses, studio groups looking to relocate, and anyone who does not want a huge rent bill. The space breathes adaptability and accentuates sustainability, utilizing original building girders, recreated to reflect a modern space, without losing the mill's character.
Artists established at the mill have access to free gallery space. Broadstone hope to attract artists with diverse experience which complement the work of artists already established within the mill.
Broadstone Mill is now in the process of developing a new phase of purpose built studios this year to accommodate recording and photographic studios.
As well as providing for production space Broadstone Mill has an established retail outlet onsite, complete with café, attracting a growing clientele to the area.
Alongside this popular retail outlet Broadstone are hoping to attract specialist boutiques. More space is coming on stream all the time, both when parts of the mill are re-developed and when existing businesses need to expand due to larger space requirements. Shared studio space by groups is welcome.
Film Production Locations
Both inside Broadstone Mill and in neighbouring buildings, Broadstone offers an ideal setting for film production. The industrial backdrop with exposed brickwork, high ceilings and open space provide a unique and flexible filming location.
